R.E.:                       King Devick Test

This year, the Athletic Training Staff is proud to announce a new test that is provided for ALL ATHLETES at DeMatha Catholic.  The test is called the King Devick Test.  This new, cutting edge assessment is supplemental information that will increase the ability for the Athletic Trainers at DeMatha to assist in the healing process if a player sustains head trauma.

The King Devick Test is administered on a tablet / electronic device by the Trainers and it is used to determine head trauma and concussions in Athletes.  This test only takes 3 minutes to complete and we are asking ALL Hockey Players to visit the training room in the next 2 weeks so that this important information can be collected for each athlete.

Details are as follows:

Players with the Last Name A through M:

You will report THIS WEEK (Sept. 18 – 22) to the Training Room during interim or free period / study hall.

Players with the Last Name N through Z:

You will report NEXT WEEK (Sept. 25 – 29) to the Training Room during interim or free period / study hall.

Please be reminded that the Trainers have very busy days, so THANK YOU in advance for doing this important task for the sake of your own future health!

To conclude, this test only takes 3 minutes to perform.

If you have any questions, you may contact any member of the Training Staff or Coach Tony MacAulay.

Thank You!

GO STAGS!

Cheers,

Tony
